Death Valley with Sirena
Death Valley has been on my bucket list forever. Its wild and ancient landscape fits my ‘otherworldly’ brief perfectly, I just needed to find the right person to capture it with. I was introduced to Sirena and she jumped at the opportunity. We had a great time exploring this incredible landscape together, arriving at locations on my map, but also wandering off piste to find our own creative groove. Below are a small handful of the images we captured together.

Making a print
It starts with an idea, textures and shapes and a rough plan of where to fly to. Then finding someone to travel with me. The daylight has to be perfect and that normally means an early start. We discuss poses, I share ideas for compositions. With the photos taken, I then edit, knowing they will be printed. I then try various papers and then order the right paper stock. Funnily enough, I find picking the frame harder than picking the paper.
